Terms of Service

1. The Service
Stratum.AI is a verification platform that checks claims against authoritative sources including SEC EDGAR, Semantic Scholar, and CrossRef. The Service is provided as-is and is continuously evolving. Features, endpoints, and coverage may change as we expand the platform.
2. API Keys
API keys are personal and non-transferable. You may not share, sublicense, or resell your key. Stratum.AI may revoke any API key at any time, including for suspected abuse, violation of these terms, or operational reasons.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Submit personally identifiable information (PII) for verification
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source of the Service
- Use the Service for fraud, deception, or unlawful purposes
- Scrape, mirror, or bulk-extract responses or sources
- Access the Service from Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, or Belarus, or from any other jurisdiction subject to comprehensive US sanctions
4. Usage Limits
- Free: 10,000 API calls/month, 50 Chrome verifications/month
- Pro: $199/month API, $15/month Chrome extension
- Enterprise: custom pricing and limits
5. Intellectual Property
Stratum.AI owns all rights, title, and interest in the platform, including software, models, source network, and documentation. You retain ownership of text you submit, but grant Stratum.AI a limited license to process that text for the purpose of providing the Service.
6. Confidentiality
Stratum.AI does not sell or share verification logs with third parties. Logs are used internally to operate and improve the Service.
7. Disclaimers
The Service is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind. Stratum.AI does not guarantee accuracy, completeness, or availability. Verification output is not legal, financial, medical, or professional advice.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Stratum.AI's total liability arising from or related to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid Stratum.AI in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or (b) one hundred US dollars ($100).
9. Third-Party Sources
Stratum.AI relies on third-party data sources including SEC EDGAR, Semantic Scholar, and CrossRef. Stratum.AI is not responsible for the accuracy, availability, or continuity of these sources.
10. Changes
These terms may be updated at any time. Material updates will be posted with notice at stratumai.dev/terms. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
11. Termination
Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. Sections 5 (Intellectual Property), 6 (Confidentiality), 7 (Disclaimers), and 11 (Termination) survive termination.
12. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.
